• The Great Mosque of Salé was built under the orders of Temim Ibn Ziri from 1028 to 1029, and was restored and enlarged in 1196 under Abu Yusuf Yaqub al-Mansur's orders, making it the third-largest mosque in Morocco, after the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca (largest) and the mosque of the University of al-Qarawiyyin.
  تم بناءه بموجب أوامر تميم بن زيري خلال الأعوام 1028م إلى 1029م، وقد تم ترميمه وتوسيعه في عام 1196م بموجب أوامر أبو يوسف المنصور، مما جعله أكبر ثالث مسجد في المغرب، بعد مسجدي الحسن الثاني (الذي يعد الأكبر) في الدار البيضاء، و مسجد جامعة القرويين.
